If you are pregnant, firstly, congratulations! Whilst pregnancy (especially your first) is often associated with some overwhelm, it is a fantastic opportunity to tune into your body, centre your focus and find physical support from within to help you ride the waves.
As you journey through the trimesters, you will become sensitised to the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. Exercise during this time is not only good, but essential - to prepare your body for birth and also for your baby's growth and development.
We show you the types of movements (and why) to include in your physical training to best prepare you for birth and beyond. You will experience the exercises to help you feel supported, balanced and strong as your body changes.
Perhaps you are already working in fitness & wellbeing and would like to be more confident in guiding a mama-to-be through a movement flow that nourishes both beings inside & out - we have also got you covered.

Private movement sessions 45 minute sessions in Scarborough or at your home. Your specific needs and any discomfort or complications you are experiencing will be considered with sensitivity. We will tailor to you Breathing Techniques, Safe Stretches and Strengthening Exercises to prepare you and your body for birth. These sessions not only equip you physically but also facilitate emotional regulation to support you and your baby throughout your pregnancy. Move in Pregnancy Master Class Series 4 x 2 hr sessions. Think of these sessions as a mini getaways or retreats from any worries you're experiencing during pregnancy. You will connect to your breath, and baby, and move in ways that free your body, incorporating safe challenges to not only help with balance, coordination & posture while pregnant, but also prepare you for the athletic event, that is birthing a child! Workshops for Movement Teachers Understand the physical changes that occur during the three trimesters and post-pregnancy and learn the types of exercises that can support each stage. These workshops revise anatomy in movement relevant to pregnancy, including pelvic floor anatomy and function. Gain insight into how to integrate this knowledge into gentle, yet effective Pilates and Yoga-inspired training programs that can also be applied to your current modality.
