When the Body gets working appropriately,
the force of Gravity can flow through,
then spontaneously, the body heals Itself

"What a difference a fascial bodywork makes! Annelise was fantastic in analyzing my movement - mainly walking - and with the help of her fascial treatment of 3 sessions relieve me of pain in my right hip and leg. I am also feeling now more confident to address my walking style for longer trekking trips."

Unexplained Pain?
Whilst the nature of pain can be multi-faceted and caused by a combination of lifestyle factors, posture is a significant piece of the puzzle.
A balanced posture can reduce, or often eliminate pain and unnecessary tension in the long term. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that your body is doing the work to hold you upright, without you having to ‘work at it’?
Working together, my hands and your movement will create functional change that lasts.
Be empowered and supported with structural bodywork, where you can take an active role in creating positive change in your body & life.
Come on a journey with me...to uncover and address dysfunctional patterns, balancing the body and breath, and creating postural ease and awareness as we go.
We'll take an investigative journey from the feet up to the head, and all the structures - bones, muscles and tissues, in between.
Structural Bodywork helps to align your body from the ground up, and often reveals how pain in one part of the body (e.g. shoulder) can be eased by addressing a postural issue somewhere else (e.g. at the feet).
Body assessment and treatment includes your whole body, rather than focusing on the site of pain, to determine areas which may be most likely contributing to tension and to where balanced alignment can be restored.
Sessions consist of a body reading (standing and walking), then according to the needs of your body, various lying down, seated and standing touch techniques will be used to bring the body closer to centred alignment.
3 Series
A series of treatments over 3 sessions:
Sessions run 1.5hrs, and number of sessions will vary (generally 3 - 12), depending on the nature and depth of the issue. Sessions are best delivered weekly, to give your body time to integrate the work, but anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks between treatments is suitable.

"I’ve struggled with shin splints for forever and spent thousands with different physio’s etc trying to rectify them so I can run and play football. 3 sessions later I have 0 issues and can run all I want. Annelise is a miracle worker and truly has worked a miracle with me. Thank you so much. I can’t recommend her highly enough."

INSPIRATION & ACCREDITATION
Anatomy Trains Structural Integration training, Fremantle April 21 & Jan 22
Ida Rolf, innovative biomechanist, biologist, and creator of Structural Integration, descirbes the essence of the work with her famous quote, "It's not how deep you go, it's how you go deep". Training with Anatomy Trains AU&NZ reinforced for me: a) how a subtle and/or superficial touch can promote efffective and longterm change in tissues & structural alignment, and b) that long term structural and sensory change for a person is a result of the communication between two intelligent systems - both practitioner and client. |
