"As a person who is eternally on the go, for me working with Annelise has been about slowing down. Given I breath all the time, I really had forgotten how to breath in a way that was good for my body and could be a great management tool for unwinding life's stresses. I highly recommend Annelise's Breath Courses for anyone wanting to connect to a calmer and more considered version of yourself!" Kora P, Financial Advisor
Does your crew often....
> Wake up feeling unrested, exhausted, in a rush and anxious about the day ahead?
> Feel so over stretched at work, like there isn’t enough time to fit everything in and always rushing to catch up?
> Get so stressed and confused that they can't think straight and can't focus on the job in hand and feel overwhelmed by the smallest things?
> Keep going through the day with coffee and energy drinks that give them highs and lows and making them jittery and moody?
> Go to bed with a head full of relentless thoughts so that they can’t sleep?
Bringing the Breath Mastery Course to your organisation will not only engender a meritocracy in team projects, but also aid in your employees getting better rest at home to return to work refreshed in the morning. Improved breath awareness empowers one to reduce anxiety when it arises, and hence improve mental clarity for applying to the task at hand.
Each series of the course can either be delivered as 12 x 30 min lunch time sessions (biweekly), 4 x 90 minute sessions (weekly), or as a single ‘Wellness Day’ (in replacement of a ‘sick leave day’). A shorter half day workshop format can also be curated for your organisation's specific needs or interests.
Each experiential session explores a variety of breathing fundamentals and techniques. The four course series’ can be attended in any order.
To begin, Series 1 introduces ways to use the breath to reduce stress and anxiety, and take back control of mind & body via breath awareness.
Following series’, as described below, then continue to integrate relevant aspects such as resilience, performance, functional breathing, immunity and advanced health.
Series 2: Brings an emphasis on Resilience & Performance, exploring aspects of functional breathing such as nasal breathing and breath biomechanics (moving to enhance breathing ability). This series will also delve into breathing techniques to enhance health, longevity, metabolism, immunity and performance, including breath holds science, fundamentals and practice.
Series 3: Expands the potential of the breathing practice yet again, strengthening connection to the physical body while guiding participants out of their heads and into their hearts. Includes scientifically explained methods to connect back with the whole self by learning breathing practices to heighten intuition, creativity & happiness.
Series 4: Whilst all the series include some body movement, this final series really brings it home to free the body to breathe expansively and access one’s potential! The practice culminates in maintaining steady and functional breathing while moving throughout the day, rather than breathing becoming laborious. Participants will pleasantly discover the ease in their bodies, as well as learn to use the breath to minimise pain and tension.
A Course Manual is included with all techniques we cover, so employees can continue the work at home.
This course is designed and delivered by Annelise and is informed by her combined experience in the corporate, health and wellness sectors over the past decade. Annelise provides a tangible, science-backed, mind-body approach to reverse the damage caused by too much sitting as well as stress from both internal and external pressures.
From a physical sense, Annelise has both an educational and working background in the biomechanics of breathing and gait (how we walk) as well as how we can influence postural balance (how we sit, stand and move) from a myofascial perspective. This, combined with her own history of sporting injuries, back surgery and corporate life, have equipped her in how to best bring ease back to the body and nervous system, so the brain can fire as it needs.
